Rain Test by DracoDragite Rain Test by DracoDragite
Just a little something I wanted to work on. I realized I've never really drawn any characters in weather based scenery so I thought I'd get some practice in. So here's my attempt at drawing Donna in the rain. I think it turned out okay for my first try. What do you all think?

Tubular! This i good, It must be at least five minutes since it started....

Agreeing with Mr-Undisclosed, if Having Weather based enemies...

It does require that.

A magnificent piece ... doing rain is not an easy thing to do.  In the Intro to Comics class I took at SCAD at the Wicked Weekend, we got a few tastes of what it takes to do comics.  This was one.  Another was sharp shadows.  :)

Looks good, though I do think that her clothes could look a little more wet.

The falling drops effect looks good, but the spatters where it hits her feels too uniform.  I think the technique you're using there works well enough on the upward-facing surfaces, but it needs tweaking on the slopes, especially on her hips and hair.

Donna: The weather channel didn't say anything about it raining today.

It looks good- I would say that the droop to the clothing is good in showing off the dampness. But also maybe darkening the tone of the clothes might help- leaving the drier areas lighter to show how much moisture has soaked in.

But otherwise it's a nice attempt at wet clothing, though it'd help to make her skin likewise damp looking- it looks the same as it does dry right now. Wet is pretty much one of those big character design changes. Everything droops or flops as it gets wetter. Not to mention levels of dampness. But it's a nice attempt for the start.
