Okay be honest, how many of you saw this coming? 
You're probably wondering what exactly happened. Well, here's the story I've got.
One day, Paula decided to visit her "good friends" Donna and Valery at their apartment. It just so happens that on that day Tau was asked by Iota to collect some blood samples from Donna for research purposes. Anyway, Paula visited Donna and Val saying it was so nice to see them again (Val was suspicious though, but Donna welcomed her hoping bygones were bygones). While they chatted in their apartment Paula happen to ask how Donna got her powers. Since Cupio Tech is suppose to be a secret all the girls could say was a special lab ended up injecting Donna with an experimental chemical. Seeing the vials Tau had used, the moment the girls went to another room she took her chance and took the vials! Noticing both were gone, the girls and Tau gave pursuit! After catching up to her they wanted to know why she was doing this. She then recaps the whole hating Donna in high school thing and swore she would out do her! At that moment she stabbed herself in the arm and injected herself with the chemical! Worried, Tau called Iota to ask what would happen, however, Iota himself wasn't sure either because the chemical was never intended to be consumed twice! At that moment everyone noticed something wrong! Paula was in pain and suddenly her hair changed in style and length and her face and body was changing as well! To everyone's surprise, except in color, Paula had now become an exact double of Donna herself! Tau and Iota theorized that since the chemical in Donna's body had already merged with her DNA and was injected prematurely, the chemical believed that it was back in Donna's body but thought something was wrong with her DNA. Following its programming, the chemical "fixed" the DNA to match Donna's. Seeing and hearing this Paula was completely in shock! Despite now having the same powers like Donna, the price was to high for now she had become the very person she hated most in the world!

I feel sorry for paula, she might want to be better than donna, I didn't except she accidentally turn herself into another version of Donna limber.
